How do I create an event?

Click Create an event on the homepage or from your dashboard. Fill in your event details — title, date, time, location, and description. Set a spots limit if you want to cap attendance, then publish. You'll get a shareable link you can send to anyone.

How do I edit my event?

Go to your event page and click the Edit button. You can change any detail — title, date, time, location, description, or spots limit. Changes are saved immediately and attendees will see the updated information when they view the event.

How do I cancel or delete an event?

Go to your event page, click Edit, and scroll to the bottom. You'll find options to cancel or delete the event. - Cancel keeps the event visible but marks it as cancelled. All attendees are notified by email. - Delete permanently removes the event and all associated data.

How do I share my event?

Every event has a unique shareable link in the format yupit.app/e/your-event-slug. Copy this link from your event page and share it anywhere — messaging apps, social media, email, or your website. Anyone with the link can view the event and sign up.

What happens when all spots are filled?

When your event reaches capacity, new visitors see that the event is full and sign-ups are closed. With a Power plan or higher, a waitlist is automatically enabled. New sign-ups are added to the waitlist, and if someone cancels, the first person on the waitlist is automatically promoted and notified by email.

Can I set a recurring event?

Currently, each event is a one-time occurrence. For recurring activities, you can duplicate a previous event from your dashboard to quickly create a new one with similar details. This lets you adjust the date and any other details before publishing.

How do attendees sign up for my event?

Attendees visit your event link and click Sign up. If they're not signed in, they'll be prompted to sign in with Google or enter their email for a one-time code. Once signed in, they're added to the attendee list instantly. You'll see them appear in real-time on your event page.

How do I manage my attendees?

From your event page, you can see all attendees and waitlisted people. As the organizer, you can: - Remove an attendee (they'll be notified by email) - Remove and block an attendee to prevent them from signing up again - View attendee details like name and email If you remove someone and there's a waitlist, the next person is automatically promoted.

Can I limit the number of attendees?

Yes. When creating or editing an event, set the Spots field to your maximum number of attendees. Once all spots are taken: - Free plan — signups close automatically. - Power, Team, and Club plans — a waitlist activates. When someone cancels, the next person on the waitlist is automatically promoted and notified by email. On the Free plan, the maximum is 25 spots per event. Paid plans support unlimited spots.

Can I see who's coming in real-time?

Yes. The attendee list on your event page updates instantly — no need to refresh. You and your guests can see: - Who has confirmed - Who is on the waitlist - How many spots are left All updates happen in real-time, so you always have an accurate picture of your event.

How do I schedule when sign-ups open and close?

Sign-up scheduling lets you control exactly when attendees can sign up for your event. This is useful when you want sign-ups to open at a specific time (e.g. first-come-first-served starting next Monday) or close before the event starts (e.g. no sign-ups after the day before). How to set it up 1. Create or edit an event 2. Open Advanced options at the bottom of the form 3. Check Schedule sign-up window 4. Set a Sign-ups open date and time (optional — leave empty to open immediately) 5. Set a Sign-ups close date and time (optional — leave empty to close at event start time) 6. Save the event What attendees see - Before sign-ups open: The event page shows a message like "Sign-ups open in 3 days" with the sign-up button disabled. - During the window: Attendees can sign up as normal. - After sign-ups close: The sign-up button is disabled with a message that sign-ups have closed. Good to know - Organisers can always manually add attendees regardless of the sign-up window. - You can change the schedule at any time by editing the event. - If you only set a close time (no open time), sign-ups will be open immediately and close at the time you set. - If you only set an open time (no close time), sign-ups will open at that time and remain open until the event starts. How do guest sign-ups work?

Guest sign-ups let attendees bring friends, family, or colleagues to your event without those people needing their own Yupit account. How to enable guest sign-ups 1. Create or edit an event 2. Open Advanced options at the bottom of the form 3. Find Guests per signup and set a number (e.g. 2 means each attendee can bring up to 2 guests) 4. Save the event How it works for attendees When signing up for an event that allows guests, attendees will see an option to add guest names. Each guest counts towards the total spots for the event. For example, if your event has 20 spots and an attendee signs up with 2 guests, that uses 3 spots (the attendee + 2 guests). What organisers see In the attendee list, guests appear linked to the person who brought them. You can see at a glance who is bringing guests and how many. Good to know - Set Guests per signup to 0 to disable guest sign-ups (this is the default). - The maximum is 10 guests per signup. - Guests count towards the event spot limit. If your event has a waitlist enabled, the guest count is considered when checking if the event is full. - Guests do not need a Yupit account — only the person signing up needs one.
